A fantastic day of new beginnings at North Gosforth Academy Today, we were thrilled to welcome students from our feeder schools for our Transition Day. Today has given students a glimpse of life at North Gosforth Academy ahead of joining us in September. From exploring the school and meeting new teachers and classmates to getting involved in exciting lessons, it has been wonderful to see so many smiling faces already beginning their journey with us. A huge thank you to our fantastic student leaders, who did an amazing job supporting our visitors and helping everyone to feel welcome. Wishing the next group of North Gosforth Academy students good luck as they head to Bristol University as part of the Future Leaders Programme with Villiers Park Educational Trust! This programme supports young people from underrepresented backgrounds, helping them build confidence, develop essential skills, and explore future university and career pathways. This exciting opportunity will provide students with valuable insights into university life and inspire them to aim high for their futures. During the visit, they will stay in student accommodation, follow an actual university timetable, attend classes, and enjoy various tours of the campus. Celebrating SPARX Maths SuperStars Today, we had the pleasure of celebrating the incredible effort, dedication, and achievement shown by our students throughout the SPARX Maths 6-week homework challenge. We would like to congratulate all students for their fantastic commitment and hard work. Your efforts have been truly impressive! A special congratulations goes to 7ME, 8NG, 9AM, and 10ME, who have each won the class prize gaining the highest average XP points. Before going on study leave, our Year 11's held their final year group football match of the academic year! They dedicated themselves to making team polo's to don for their ultimate game (including Captain bands) - the teams were set and the whole week built up to this moment. It may not have been the setting they wanted due to the rain, but they were amazing nonetheless! Wednesday, 17th June, was the last day at North Gosforth Academy for our Year 11 students. We celebrated their time with us by looking back on their history here and giving out some hilarious and heartfelt awards at our Leavers assembly.
